Use Case 1
Creation of wide bidirectional bike lanes
Context
Before 2022, the bridge’s cycling infrastructure was narrow, unsafe, and poorly designed, prompting some cyclists to ride against traffic to avoid the dangerous five-lane crossing. The 2022 redevelopment created two wide, bidirectional bike lanes on each side of the bridge, providing a dedicated and secure space for cyclists.
Observation
The traffic analysis reveals a significant increase in cycling, with traffic doubling during peak hours (1 and 2).
Conclusion
The 2022 redevelopment transformed the bridge’s cycling infrastructure, resulting in safer conditions and a substantial rise in cycling traffic.
Use Case 2
Development of a continuous cycling network in the Metropolis
Context
Since 2021, the metropolis has made significant investments in improving cycling network connectivity.
The main objective is to establish a continuous network linking the city to its neighboring municipalities to facilitate travel.
Observations
Traffic analysis reveals:
1) An increase in commuter trips during weekdays
2) A decrease in cycling activity on weekends.
Conclusion
Cycling policy has boosted weekday ridership. The expansion of cycling infrastructure beyond the city has provided cyclists with more opportunities for recreational trips in suburban and rural areas.
API : retrieve only validated data
A new boolean parameter has been added to filter results to include only validated data. When set to true, only validated data will be returned; if set to false or left unspecified, all data will be returned. By default, it is set to false.
